Most childcare programs MUST engage in some form of fund-raising to supplement basic funding from tuition, fees, or governmental subsidies. The cost of operating a childcare program or preschool continues to escalate along with the general cost of living. And, with the long recession we’ve been facing here in the U.S., donations have been hard to come by. The children and families of La Plata County could really use your help.
The Early Childhood Council relies on grants and contributions to perform the important work of supporting children and families in La Plata County. Studies have shown that providing children and families with a wide range of educational, health and nutritional support early has a huge positive impact on children. Financially supporting the work of early childhood is an investment in the future of children’s lives and our community. And your humanity.
